In June 2017 we traveled to Stockholm to meet members of the Oriental Ceramic Society of Sweden, joining our colleagues for a lecture on Chinese imperial glass of the Qing dynasty. We also visited the Ethnographic Museum, the Museum of East Asian Art for a handling session and stopped by the auction house, Auktionsverk, to view a sale. Another day, a ferry ride took us through the beautiful archipelago that surrounds Stockholm before stopping off at Drottingholm Palace and the Chinese Pavilion. Other days included a handling session at the auction house, Bukowskis, a visit to the Hallwyl Collection and a stop at the Riddarhuset House of Nobility, which holds an impressive collection of Chinese export porcelain with Swedish armorials.
