Lecture: A New Look at Old Pots in the Freer Gallery of Art

OCS Members are invited to join The Sir Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art for their 2025 Annual Lecture: ‘A New Look at Old Pots in the Freer Gallery of Art‘ presented by Jan Stuart, Melvin R. Seiden Curator of Chinese Art National Museum of Asian Art, Washington DC.
This lecture presents case studies of select ceramics in the Freer Gallery of Art. These ceramics are being studied in a cross-disciplinary project (art history, science, and conservation) that will be published as a forthcoming book. Primary authors (alphabetic order) are: Ellen Chase, Blythe McCarthy, Stacey Pierson, and Jan Stuart.
The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception hosted by the Sir Percival David Foundation of Chinese Art.
