Organised in association with An Enamel Revolution: China and the World, the forthcoming exhibition at The Fitzwilliam Museum, this guided tour with Senior Curator of Chinese Art Dr. James Lin offers an opportunity to explore the themes of the exhibition and the history of painted enamel in greater depth.
The tour will explore how techniques travelled from one region to another, how they were adapted to suit new cultural and commercial contexts, and how these innovations were transformed into new commodities that became highly sought-after around the world.
